Smart Meters Fail to Deliver in USA – Piyush Goyal Misled

It is important for India to first get Correct Inputs before
Incorrectly Applying foreign technologies. Sunita Narain and other
Dubious NGOs are Misleading GOI.
Even as USA wealth increased from $41.5 trillions to $67.3 trillion
its CO2 Emissions from power generation decreased by 10%, SO2
reduction by 70% and NOx by 60% and out of 4047 BU of Generation,
Green Energy contributed 1263 BU, Natural Gas 1225 BU Cleaner Energy,
Coal Fired power is reduced to 1514 BU only.
Coal Fuel contribution to power generation in USA has reduced to 37%
from 50% in 2002, from 1933 million tones to 1514 million tones or
22%.
Piyuh Goyal Plans to DOUBLE Coal Power Generation by 2019.

USA T&D losses are less than 8% compared to over 30% REAL Losses.
But something most amazing FACT is Low Average Cost of Power Supply is

Rs.3 per unit for very high quality of power supply that too largely
by private power companies.
Out of 145 million Consumers, 91.5m or 63% had Smart Meters by 2012
yet it did not effect saving of Electricity but MAIN IMPROVEMENTS WERE
IN GENERATION SWITCH reducing Coal fuel use in power generation and
substantial growth in Renewable Energy. Natural Gas and Green Energy
generation contribute 63% of generation pool.
