Preservation of this valuable asset and effective management strategies assume greater importance. Our foresighted predecessors have gifted us a system for maintenance of revenue records. In the era of fast urbanization and industrialization, society at large is having high expectations from the Revenue Department on the land management related issues. It is also necessary to meet the demand for government land along with far-sighted planning of its future requirements. Hence, it is inevitable to administer matters of land management with high degree of meticulousness and ensure accuracy in maintenance of records as well. 2. Any farmer or hunter would tell you that it is easy to catch a sitting bull or shoot a sitting leopard but these Idiots would plan to diverted rivers in flood fury to drought regions across hundreds to thousands of kilometers jumping over scores of major and minor rivers. Statement of Dr. Subramanian Swamy       The IAC alias Team Anna has accused the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh of corruption and want him to be prosecuted. But not one of the Team Anna has specified under which Section of the Prevention of Corruption Act is Dr. Singh prima facie guilty. Instead the glib accusation of Team Anna appears to be to benefit Ms Sonia Gandhi's conspiracy to foist her unqualified son in the PM's chair as well as to derail the legal steps to bring the corrupt to book which Action Committee Against Corruption in India under my chairmanship is undertaking.
Team Anna has always been in the grip of Naxalite minded crazies. It is time Anna Hazare dump most of Team Anna and join with ACACI and Baba Ramdev for a nationalist approach to fighting corruption.  ------------------------- Regards, Abhishek

Chandigarh, May 29, 2012: R Srinivas of Bangalore produced a sizzling
five-under-67 to claim the first round lead at the PGTI Players
Championship being played at the Chandigarh Golf Club. Chandigarh’s
Harendra Gupta and the Delhi duo of Shamim Khan and Naman Dawar are in
joint second at four-under-68.

short-game. His first birdie of the day came on the second hole where
he chipped it to within a few inches. This was followed by a 15-feet
birdie putt on the third. The bogey on the fourth did not prove too
costly for Srinivas as he came back strongly with a brilliant
eight-iron shot to set up a birdie on the eighth.

The short and stocky Srinivas, who is yet to win his maiden
professional title, collected three birdies in a row from the 11th
through the 13th to take his score to five under. He chipped-in from
the bunker on the 11th and then missed an eagle by a whisker with his
nine-iron approach shot on the 12th. Sr…

We are not considering hike in diesel, LPG prices: Reddy

Image
Still battling the fallout of last week's steep Rs 7.54 a litre hike in petrol price, the government on Monday said it is not considering raising rates of diesel, domestic gas (LPG) and kerosene for the moment.

"We are not considering hike prices of diesel, domestic LPG and kerosene. It is out of question right now," Oil Minister S Jaipal Reddy told reporters after a meeting called by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee to discuss the impact of fuel price hike on inflation.
Chief Economic Adviser Kaushik Basu was also present at the inter-ministerial grouping on inflation.
Reddy said no dates have yet been fixed for convening a meeting of a ministerial panel to decide on revising rates of diesel, LPG and kerosene.
The Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) on fuel prices, headed by Mukherjee, hasn't met since June last year even though depreciation in the rupee and rise in international oil prices have raised the cost of imports.
"It was only a meeting of t…

After their talks, the two countries signed a raft of agreements to boost energy supplies from resource-rich Myanmar to energy-hungry India, enhance trade and cross-border rail, shipping and road links that go beyond bilateralism to cover Thailand.
After being greeted with a ceremonial guard of honour, Dr. Singh first held restricted talks with President Sein and then the two leaders led their sides to a larger format of discussions that saw them undertaking a comprehensive review of the bilateral …
