Fujifilm India launch of dozen new digital camera

Fujifilm India announced the launch of dozen new digital camera models in the Indian market including the FinePix X100 model with the hybrid view finder.A Rajkumar, country general manager (DSC), Fujifilm India, said, ''Fujifilm sees India as an important market and is committed to bringing the latest of its offerings to the market here.''The new models launched include AV200 and AX300 (A series), JV200, JX300 (J series), FinePix X100, T200, F500 EXR, HS20, S2950, S3300, S4000 and Z900 models these models come with features like digital image stabilization, motion panorama mode, face detection technology, picture search, scene recognition auto, blink detection, smile and shoot mode, Facebook / You Tube easy web upload feature among others.Fuji film India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan's Fujifilm Holding Corporation, today said it targets to double its market share in the camera segment by March 2012.

Anna Hazare continues his fast unto death

Social activist Anna Hazare continues his fast unto death along with 129 peoples across India: A large number of people visited him on Wednesday to express their solidarity with the cause. He is demanding a comprehensive law to deal with corruption. Talking to reporters, he urged the Prime Minister to take initiative in order to make the changes in the proposed legislation to make it more effective. He suggested to accept the points made in the draft proposed by them.Earlier, in the day he criticised Congress and its spokesperson for misleading the people by dubbing his agitation as unnecessary and premature. He stamped the BJP for politicising the issue.Today he shot a letter to Prime Minister which was read in afternoon at Jantar Mantar for their consumption:He has alled for Jail Bhero agitation from 12th April 2011:

Syrian protest hub holds general strike: activists -The southern Syrian town of Daraa, the centre of pro-democracy protests, was hit by a general strike today and braced for fresh rallies after midday prayers, a rights activist said."The general strike was largely observed," he told the news agency on condition of anonymity, adding that activists had distributed leaflets urging shops to remain closed today.

He added security forces fired warning shots last night trying "in vain" to disperse a sit-in outside the Al-Omari mosque, the focal point of more than two weeks of anti-government protests marred by deadly violence.The strike came a day after President Bashar al-Assad named Mohammad Khaled al-Hannus as the new governor of the town, one of the main flashpoints of an opposition movement that erupted on 15th March.

'Raja acted dishonestly to fix spectrum prices at 2001 rate'

The probe into the 2G spectrum scam has revealed that former Telecom Minister A Raja "deliberately and dishonestly" did not consider auction or revision of entry fee and threw away the licences of radio waves at the rate prevailing in 2001, depriving the government of huge revenue, the CBI has said.

The agency alleged that a criminal conspiracy was hatched by Raja with Managing Director of Unitech Ltd Sanjay Chandra, Swan Telecom Promoter Shahid Usman Balwa and Vinod Goenka, Director of Mumbai-based DB Realty, to adopt the price of 2001 by ignoring the concerns raised by various sections of the government.
