S Jaishankar reaches Bhutan for his first overseas visit as External Affairs Minister @MEAIndia External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has arrived a short while ago in Bhutan on a two-day visit.   He was received by his Bhutanese counterpart Tandi Dorji on his arrival.  This is his first overseas trip after assuming charge of the ministry.  During the visit, he will hold talks with his Bhutanese counterpart and call on Prime Minister Lotay Tshering.  The Minister is also expected to receive an audience with King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.

Javadekar:BS-6 emission norms from 2020 Speaking at a World Environment Day function in New Delhi, Mr Javadekar said, the BS-6 norms compliant  vehicles will be available in the country from 2020.He added that this will help in reducing the air pollution. Mr Javadekar underscored that over sixty thousand crore rupees have been invested in this direction. The Minister said, air quality has improved in the national capital due to the concerted actions of the government . Citing that in 2014 in the National Capital the number of poor air quality days was 300 and it came down to 206 days in 2018, the Minister expressed hope that it will further reduce this year. Mr Javadekar said, air pollution is a global challenge and it requires a concerted efforts by all stakeholders to deal with the challenge. Appointment of the new Finn Government toady The new Government will be appointed on Thursday 6 June. The President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö will meet the Speaker of Parliament and leader of the government formation talks Antti Rinne at 10.00 in Mäntyniemi and, having heard the Speaker, will notify the Parliament of the nominee for Prime Minister. In its plenary session assembling at 12.00, the Parliament will be informed of the nominee for Prime Minister, and the plenary session assembling at 12.15 will elect a Prime Minister. In the presidential session assembling at 14.00, the President of the Republic will formally appoint the Prime Minister and other government ministers. The ministers will be appointed as proposed by the Prime Minister. This is also when the previous Government will officially resign. Promptly after its appointment, the newly appointed Government will convene into a constitutive session. At the beginning of the session, the ministers take an
