Delhi High Court on Friday declined stay on the Delhi government’s
order calling for an audit of power distribution companies. The court
asked the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) to not submit its final
report till the case is heard. The apex court also directed the power
companies to cooperate fully with the audit.However, the power companies
allege that the audit is a political ploy and that the order was passed
with ‘malice on law’ without giving the DistComs an opportunity
to be heard. The companies also argued that under the Electricity Act
2003, the LG should have initiated the file instead of agreeing with the
government decision.Earlier in the day, appearing for the power
distribution companies of Delhi, senior lawyer and BJP leader Harish
Salve called the AAP government’s order for an audit of these companies a
‘shaikh chilli order’ made without application of mind.दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट
ने बिजली कंपनियों के खातों का कैग द्वारा ऑडिट कराने के दिल्ली सरकार के
फैसले पर रोक लगाने से इनकार कर दिया है। कोर्ट ने डिस्कॉम से सहयोग करने
के लिए कहा है। इसके साथ ही हाई कोर्ट ने कैग से कहा है कि जब तक याचिकाओं
पर सुनवाई नहीं होती, तब तक वह डिस्कॉम के खातों की ऑडिट रिपोर्ट पेश न
करे।बिजली कंपनियों के खातों की जांच सीएजी से कराने के केजरीवाल सरकार के
फैसले को डिस्कॉम ने दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट में चुनौती दी थी। डिस्कॉम ने
केजरीवाल सरकार के फैसले को गैरकानूनी बताते हुए अदालत से इस पर रोक लगाने
की मांग की थी।
In a major relief to over one lakh
contractual workers, the government also put a stop on removal of
temporary employees working in various departments till the process of
recruitment based on new criteria is not completed.The high-level
13-member committee is being headed by Chief Secretary S K Srivastava
and comprises of two retired IAS officers, Prakash Chandra and Prafful
Karketa, besides secretaries of finance, law and urban development
departments among others.The committee has been given the responsibility
formulate the policy in this regard within one month.
“Jan Lokpal Bills broad contours have been finalized, and will be
taken up in the cabinet early next week. The Chief Minister office will
be under the Jan Lokapal Bill,” Arvind Kejriwal.AAP released said ,Three policemen suspended due to shocking police brutality video posted by us on FB.This is the kind of difference we want to bring in the society.
From the next time any policeman should be afraid while showing such atrocity to anybody.
