INVITATION TO JOIN FICCI BUSINESS DELEGATION TO UKRAINE

We are pleased to inform you that FICCI is taking a business delegation to Ukraine to participate in the next India-Ukraine Joint Business Council (JBC) Meeting, scheduled to be held on the 6th
of September, 2012 in Kyiv, Ukraine. The meeting will be addressed by
Mr. Anand Sharma Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government
of India.
As you may be aware, there lies a huge potential for cooperation with Ukraine in sectors like Pharmaceutical, Gems and Jewellery, Medical equipments, Agri and Food Processing, Plantation, Medical Tourism, Information Technology, Auto Components, Power, Heavy Engineering, Leather, Textiles, Infrastructure, Defense, Handicrafts etc.
The JBC Meetings have in the past played an extremely important role in laying the foundation for the development of India-Ukraine economic relations.
Some of the major highlights of the meeting include: one-to-one business meetings; visits to special zones and establishments and interactions with decision-makers in the Government. We are sure this meeting will provide the requisite impetus to our endeavors to enhance India-Ukraine business relations and will benefit you in terms of a firsthand understanding of the Ukraine market, the local regulations and direct contact with potential buyers. If you are already doing business with Ukraine and / or have a presence there, you could use the JBC meeting to share your experiences and highlight any business or trade related issues you have faced.
We are also organizing a “Made in India Show” in Kyiv, Ukraine from 5th-9th September 2012. The event will be held at Acco International Exhibition Center, Kyiv, Ukraine. The Acco International is one of the modern exhibition center, located in the center of the Ukrainian capital. The event is a Government of India initiative to showcase India’s economic capabilities with a mission to build bridges and to establish long term economic ties with different nations of the world, with special focus on Ukraine and other European & CIS countries in the neighborhood. The event will be inaugurated by Mr. Anand Sharma, Hon’ble Commerce, Industry and Textiles Minister, Government of India.
To cover a part of the secretariat expenses, we are obliged to charge a delegation fee of Rs. 25,000/- per delegate for the JBC meeting.
In view of the importance of the visit, we would be grateful if you could kindly join the delegation. In case you are unable to join on account of prior commitment, you may kindly depute a senior executive from your organization to join the delegation.
