| Indian Air Force Mountaineering Exepedition Team Sucessfully Summits Three Unclimbed Peaks in the Ladakh Region | ||||||||||||

The
Indian Air Force
has achieved an extraordinary milestone in the field of mountaineering by safely and successfully summiting three
unclimbed peaks in the Ladakh region which was recently cleared for climbing by the Indian Mountaineering Federation. The team of 18 highly
motivated Air Warriors led by Wing Commander Namit Rawat was flagged-in
today by the Chief of the Air Staff Air
Chief Marshal NAK Browne. This is the
first ever expedition to unclimbed peaks at altitudes of 20112 Ft, 21200 Ft and 21010 Ft, and also the first of its kind where three
peaks have been successfully summited in one expedition.
The team consisted of 11 first time climbers and an Air Force Civilian which is
also a first of its kind.
The Indian Air Force is likely to
approach the Indian Mountaineering Federation for naming these peaks after Air
Force legends :-
