31 Bills proposed this Winter Session
Indian Parliament will be in its Winter Session from November 22 to December 21, 2011.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Pawan Kumar Bansal has sought the support of the opposition for taking up these important Bills for discussion and passage.
The Opposition BJP and the Left parties have already announced that they will move an adjournment motion on the price rise issue.Media reports that Telangana issue, black money, outbreak of encephalitis in Uttar Pradesh and recent controversy over AFSPA are some other important issues to be taken up during the session.
The Bills relating to Agriculture and of importance for Activists will be considered for passing are namely :-
(1) The Seeds Bill 2004
(2) The Pesticides Management Bill, 2008
Among the New Bills to be introduced are
1.The National Food Security Bill, 2011,
2.The Biotechnology Regulatory Authority of India Bill, 2011, The Regional Centre for Biotechnology Bill, 2011.
3.The Nuclear Regulatory Authority Bill, 2011 will be introduced.
4.The Lokpal (Ombudsman) Bill, 2011,
5.The Public Intreset Disclosure and Protection to Persons Making the Disclosure Bill, 2010,
6.The Judicial Standards and Accountability Bill, 2010 are among 31 Bills slated for consideration and passing.
