Calgon Carbon conducts water treatment seminar for U.S. Senate committee
PITTSBURGH — On June 24, Calgon Carbon Corporation conducted a technical information seminar for the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, according to a press release.
Members of Calgon Carbon’s staff presented technical and cost information to the committee’s professional staff related to the use of and applications for activated carbon, UV light disinfection, ion exchange technology systems and a wide variety of other biological and physical water treatment technologies.
“We are pleased to have this opportunity to present technical and cost information based on our real life experiences to the professional staff of the Senate’s Environment and Public Works Committee,” said John Stanik, president and CEO of Calgon Carbon. “We would like decision makers to have factual and relevant technical and cost information, and we look forward to the on-going opportunity to contribute our experience and perspective to that end.”
