(live-PR.com) - Islamabad, Feb 22:Pakistan Muslim League (N) Chief Nawaz Sharif Thursday said, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and PML-N will follow the agenda laid out in the Charter of Democracy.But the duo Nawaz and Zaradari still to arrive at consensus on the name next Prime Minister candidate to lead the coalition.PPP vice president Makhdoom Amin Fahim is a possible choice one stood against Musharraf in October"s presidential election but later withdrew.

He was addressing a joint press conference with PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari after their one-hour meeting at Zardari House, where both the leaders announced to form joint government in centre and the provinces.

Both the leaders announced to have reached an agreement in principle to work together towards strengthening the country by following the path of democracy.

Both the leaders unanimously decided to restore the 1973 constitution.

Responding to a question, Nawaz Sharif said that they would not take any help from Musharraf. “I would have done so before the elections, if I had such an intention,” he added.

Both the leaders announced that the UN would be asked to investigate into the murder of Benazir Bhutto.

Nawaz Sharif maintained that there is no difference in the two parties on the restoration of the deposed judges.

“We accept the mandate of PPP with an open heart and wish that PPP complete its five year term,” he said, adding, “struggle for restoration of judiciary will continue and CoD will also be followed.”

PPP Co-Chairman, Asif Zardari said PPP and PML-N have decided to work together for democracy. However, he said, some of the matter are yet to be decided by the parties.

Ali Zardari said that both the leaders have decided to stay united in the parliament.

Nawaz Sharif said, ‘We fought against the dictatorship and will keep doing so.’

Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif said the conditions in Pakistan have changed and the days are not far when he would take deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry back to the Supreme Court office.

Addressing the lawyers outside the residence of the deposed CJ, he extended the felicitation to the gathering on the victory of the democratic forces, adding his party is fully committed to restoring the judiciary.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif arrived on the spot, where the lawyers were gathering in large number to express solidarity with the deposed CJ.

Hinting at the policemen posted there, PML-N chief asked them to leave the way open for the lawyers, as their job is to keep up the law.

Shahbaz Sharif was also present on the occasion.Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Awami National Party (ANP) President Asfandyar Wali held a meeting for the formation of next government and ANP tabled its priorities to participate in the process of government making.

Asif Ali Zardari met Asfandyar Wali at Parliament Lodges here on Thursday.

ANP president told Asif Ali Zardari that the set of ANP priorities include the provincial autonomy, change in NWFP’s name, the termination of military intrusion in political process and other rights of the province.

Asfandyar Wali demanded NWFP chief minister be taken from ANP.

Addressing a press briefing after the meeting, both the leaders said that PPP and ANP would jointly move forward.

Former premier Nawaz Sharif will contest a by-election to National Assembly to enable him to lead his PML-N party in the new parliament, it was announced here today.
“The party agreed on the name of Mian Nawaz Sharif as parliamentary leader and he will contest a by-election," PML-N chairman Raja Zafarul Haq announced.
