German chancellor Angela Merkel four-day trip to India

Angela Merkel will be on a four-day trip to India her first trip as Chancellor along with a trade delegates.

Angela Merkel to boost business ties and trade with India on her visit to the world's biggest democracy.

She will meet Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh,on round of global issues including UN reforms, climate change, energy security, cooperation in the Doha round of multilateral trade negotiations and promoting security in Afghanistan. Federal ministers and delegates of Indian businessmen in Delhi and Mumbai to sign series of agreements from trade,technology and energy or defense.A government official said German firms wanted to boost ties in newer areas such as environmental technology and software as well as machinery, electrical engineering and chemicals.

"As Europeans, we have every opportunity, including in a country like India," Merkel said at an Asia conference in Berlin. "We just have to get involved." Germany has been very focused on China,she said,but India also"is dramatically growing country" with great economic perspectives.

German-Indian trade reached about 10.5 billon euros ($15.1 billion) last year.India is Asia's third-biggest economy it has grown at an average of 8.6 percent in the last four years.

Siemens AG and chemical company BASF as well as the Deutsche Bahn railroad firm,Lufthansa well known global brands manager and prestigious names in science and technology to accompany her .

She has already visited another Asian economic power, China, twice during her chancellorship.
German NSG as chairman is an important members unlikely to hold any talks as the Indian steps of IAEA negotiation is still awaited.Berlin has indicated that it supports India’s quest for global civil nuclear integration.Australia and Canada has shown interest as civil nuclear suppliers for her needs
