Dr. K Chiranjeevi:Cooperation in tourism sector between India and Japan Dr. K Chiranjeevi, Minister of State for Tourism has called for strengthening cooperation in tourism sector between India and Japan in a meeting held in New Delhi today with Mr. Hiroshi Kajiyama, Senior Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Government of Japan. The Minister said both the countries have tremendous scope to develop tourism infrastructure with mutual help. Recalling the age old historic and cultural ties between both the nations, Dr. Chiranjeevi said it would be appropriate if we strengthen our ties by promoting bilateral tourism. He suggested signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between both the countries. Jet deal, trade dominate Hollande's India trip   French President Francois Hollande's visit to India starting Thursday will chart out trade issues, including a USD 12-billion deal for Rafale fighter jets, nuclear energy and potential tie-ups for new metro lines. The President will be accompanied by five ministers including Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian. The chiefs of more than 60 top French companies will also join him. North Korea confirms nuclear test.

The seismic event detected in North Korea was the result of a third nuclear test, Pyongyang has confirmed. Seoul estimated the yield of the suspected nuclear device at 6 to 7 kilotons. Pyongyang claimed the nuclear test was carried out in a “safe and perfect manner,using a margin“miniaturized nuclear device with greater explosive force.South Korean President-elect Park Geun-hye strongly condemned the move. The Rhinos were trailing for most part of the match after Simon Child gave  Delhi  the lead in the 25th minute. But the  Ranchi  outfit never gave up and displayed tremendous fighting spirit to score through Austin Smith (55th) before Manpreet Singh (63rd) scored a late winner for the home team.
