NSD brings together all the theatre people of India and abroad through Bharat Rang Mahotsav. It is one of the best platforms we have to present all the elements which are native to the Indian Theatre – a reflection of the Indian Theatre. This year’s showcase of Classical, Indian Narratives, Folk performances alongwith Modern plays will show the depth and width of Indian theatre. Bharat Rang Mahotsav is not only about all modern World Theatre Practices but it also focuses on rural, folk, classical and traditional theatre. With such exchange of knowledge and culture NSD aims to be the ultimate platform of theatrical and cultural exchanges in theatre not only in India but with other countries as well, where theatre is still alive”, added Prof. Kendre.

Shri Ratan Thiyam, Chairman, National School Of Drama Society says, “the Bharat Rang Mahotsav is a prestigious theatre festival and we select plays keeping in mind the variations of theatre, forms and style alongwith strong emphasis on in-depth asthetic expressions, newness and innovation. This is a great opportunity not only for existing theatre lovers but new audience as well to see the best of plays from around the world on one platform.”
