प्रथम अंतरराष्टï्रीय गीता महोत्सव 6 से 10 दिसम्बर, 2016
नई दिल्ली, 26 नवंबर-हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल ने पानी को राष्ट्रीय सम्पदा घोषित करने पर बल देते हुए कहा कि यह प्रदेशों की पानी की जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए आवश्यक है। उन्होंने सभी पड़ोसी राज्यों से दिल्ली की पानी की जरूरत को पूरा करने में भी योगदान देने का आग्रह किया।
मुख्यमंत्री आज नई दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय एवं अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मीडिया प्रतिनिधियों द्वारा सतलुज-यमुना लिंक नहर और पानी के मुद्दे पर पूछे गए प्रश्र का उत्तर दे रहे थे।
उन्होंने कहा कि पानी का विषय आतंरिक प्रदेशों का विषय हैं चाहे उसमें हरियाणा- दिल्ली हो, हरियाणा-पंजाब हो या अन्य प्रदेश हो। उन्होंने कहा कि पानी पहाडों से आता है और यह राष्ट्रीय संपदा बनें ताकि आवश्यकतानुसार प्रदेशों और लोगों को इसकी आपूर्ति हो सके। उन्होंने कहा कि हालांकि दिल्ली में पानी की आवश्यकता अब अधिक बढ गई हैं क्योंकि दिल्ली और एनसीआर क्षेत्र में हरियाणा और पंजाब के ही लोग नहीं बल्कि पूरे देश व अन्य प्रांतों के लोग आकर बसे हैं और दिल्ली के साथ लगते गुरुग्राम व फरीदाबाद में भी आबादी बढती जा रही हैं, इसलिए दिल्ली को पानी की आवश्यकता अधिक हैं। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कई बार दिल्ली को हरियाणा सर्दियों में पूरा का पूरा पानी देता हैं क्योंकि दिल्ली को पानी की जरूरत होती है। उन्होंने कहा कि फरीदाबाद व गुरुग्राम में भी पानी की आवश्यकता बढती जा रही है और इसके लिए पंजाब, उत्तर प्रदेश और हरियाणा सहित अन्य प्रदेशों को आगे आना चाहिए।
राबर्ट वाड्रा के मामले पर कार्यवाही करने के संबंध में पूछे गए प्रश्र के उत्तर में मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि उन्होंने व्यक्तिगत रूप से किसी का नाम कभी नहीं लिया हैं और आज भी नहीं ले रहे हैं, लेकिन जिस किसी ने भी यह अनियमित्ताएं की होंगी या जो कोई भी संलिप्त होगा, उसे छोड़ा नहीं जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि इस मामले में प्रक्रिया चल रहे है , कुछ कार्यवाहियां विजिलेंस में और कुछ कार्यवाहियां न्यायालय में की जा रही हैं, परंतु किसी को भी बक्शा नहीं जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्तमान में भी कोई गलत करेगा तो उसे भी नहीं छोड़ा जाएगा चाहे भूतकाल हो, वर्तमान में हो या भविष्य में हो।
नोटबंदी के संबंध में पूछे गए प्रश्र के उत्तर में मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि आजकल व्यवस्थाएं बदल रही हैं और इलैक्ट्रोनिक माध्यम से लेन-देन किया जा रहा है चाहे, एटीएम मशीन हो, स्वाईप मशीन हो, बैंकों के माध्यम से हो, डेबिट कार्ड हो, क्रेडिट कार्ड हो, आरटीजीएस या मोबाइल के माध्यम से भी इलेक्ट्रोनिक लेन-देन को बढाया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि जीएसटी के कारण भी सुविधाएं बढेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि अब कपंनियों ने भी स्वाईप मशीनों को बढ़ाना शुरू कर दिया है ताकि अधिक से अधिक से इलैक्ट्रोनिक लेन-देन हो सके। हालांकि नोटों को बना दिया गया है और अभी तक जो विषय सेवाओं का है तो उसमें कुछ सेवाएं 15 दिसंबर तक पुरानी करंसी नोटों के माध्यम से दी जाएगी तो कुछ सेवाओं को 30 नवंबर तक दिया जाएगा।
राज्य में सीएलयू देने के संबंध में पूछे गए प्रश्र के उत्तर में उन्होंने कहा कि सीएलयू देने के लिए जो प्रावधान हैं, उसके अनुसार सीएलयू देने की शक्ति ग्राम एवं आयोजना विभाग के निदेशक के पास हैं, परंतु पारदर्शिता बनाए रखने के लिए वर्तमान सरकार और वर्तमान मुख्यमंत्री ने यह शक्ति पुन: निदेशक को दे दी है। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्ष 1991 में यह शक्ति मुख्यमंत्री को दी गई थी और वर्ष 1996 व वर्ष 2004 में इसे बदलने की बात आई थी लेकिन गत एक नवंबर, 2016 को यह शक्ति निदेशक को सौंप दी गई।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि वर्तमान राज्य सरकार के दो वर्षों के कार्यकाल में व्यवस्था परिवर्तन पर कार्य किया गया है और पारदर्शिता लाने पर बल दिया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि हरियाणा सरकार को 89000 करोड़ रुपए का बजट हैं और दो वर्ष के कार्य से वे सतुष्ट हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि उनकी सरकार ने एक क्लिक के माध्यम से 32 हजार शिक्षकों के तबादले किए और भ्रष्ट्राचार पर नकेल कसी हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि इस निर्णय से 93 प्रतिशत शिक्षक संतुष्ट हैं। इसी प्रकार एचसीएस के साक्षात्कारों में पूरी पारदर्शिता बरतते हुए मात्र चार घंटे मेें परिणाम को निकाल दिया, वहीं पुलिस की सिपाही की भर्तियों में भी पारदर्शिता का पूरा ध्यान रखा गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार ने भ्रष्टाचार पर नकेल कसते हुए वृद्धावस्था पेंशन को बैंकों के माध्यम से देने का निर्णय लिया और अब पात्र लोगों की पेंशन बैंकों में उनकी खातों में पहुंच रही हैं, इलैक्ट्रोनिक प्रणाली का प्रयोग करने से अपात्र लोग, जो पेंशन ले रहे थे, उन पर नकेल लगी है। इसी प्रकार सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली में भी बायोमिट्रिक प्रणाली की शुरूआत करके पात्र लोगों को सामान का वितरण किया जा रहा है।

नई दिल्ली, 26 नवंबर-हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल ने कहा कि 6 से 10 दिसम्बर, 2016 तक कुरुक्षेत्र में होने वाले प्रथम अंतरराष्टï्रीय गीता महोत्सव में पहली बार अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर वैश्विक मंत्रोच्चारण (ग्लोबल चांटिग) होगा और 18,000 विद्यार्थी एक साथ अष्टïादश श्लोकी गीता का उच्चारण करेंगें, जो एक विश्व रिकार्ड होगा। इसके अलावा, देशभर के 574 जिलों में से कुरुक्षेत्र तक की यात्रा में अपने पारम्परिक परिधान पर लिखे श्लोक को प्रचारित करेंगें और अपने-अपने जिले की मिट्टïी लेकर आएंगे, जिससे श्री कृष्ण की प्रतिमा बनाई जाएगी, जो राष्टï्र की एकता एवं अखण्डता का प्रतीक होगी।
मुख्यमंत्री आज नई दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय एवं अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मीडिया प्रतिनिधियों को प्रथम अंतर्राष्ट्रीय गीता महोत्सव के संबंध में जानकारी दे रहे थे। उन्होंने बताया कि प्रथम अंतरराष्टï्रीय गीता महोत्सव का भव्य आयोजन और महाभारत से सम्बद्घ कुछ अन्य स्थलों एवं प्राचीन कुरुक्षेत्र की पवित्र धरा पर शुभारंभ भारत के राष्टï्रपति श्री प्रणब मुखर्जी 6 दिसम्बर को प्रात: 11.30 बजे ब्रह्मïसरोवर पर करेंगे।
इस महोत्सव में आने वाले लोगों की सुविधा के लिए हम मोबाइल, एटीएम की भी सुविधा करने जा रहे हैं और महोत्सव के विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों से अवगत करवाने के लिए एक मोबाइल एप्प शुरू किया गया है।
उन्होंने बताया कि गीता के अमर संदेशों से समस्त विश्व को परिचित करवाने के लक्ष्य को ध्यान में रखते हुए अंतरराष्टï्रीय गीता महोत्सव के अवसर पर गीता जयंती के दिन 10 दिसम्बर, 2016 को भारतीय समय के अनुसार सायं 6 बजे से 6 बजकर 15 मिनट तक समस्त विश्व में गीता का सार 18 श्लोकी गीता का वैश्विक पाठ होगा। मुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि यह पाठ दुनिया के 25 देशों में भारतीय समय अनुसार 6 बजे से 6 बजकर 15 मिनट तक एक साथ होगा। अमेरिका में यह पाठ चार स्थानों पर होगा, जिन देशों में यह पाठ होगा उनके नाम इस प्रकार हैं – भारत, आस्ट्रेलिया (कैनबरा), बहरीन, कनाडा (वैंकूवर), फ्रांस (पेरिस), हांग कांग, इण्डोनेशिया (जकार्ता), केनिया, कुवैत, मलेशिया, मॉरीशस, नेपाल, न्यूजीलैण्ड, फिलीपींस, पोलैण्ड, पुर्तगाल, कतर, सिंगापुर, दक्षिणी अफ्रीका, स्पैन, श्री लंका, स्विटजरलैण्ड, यूएई, इंग्लैण्ड, अमेरिका (कैलिफोर्निया, एरिजोना, शिकागो, न्यू यार्क)।
उन्होंने कहा कि आगामी 7 दिसम्बर को 18,000 विद्यार्थी एक साथ अष्टïादश श्लोकी गीता का उच्चारण करेंगे। यह अपने आप में विश्व रिकार्ड होगा और इसे गिनीज बुक ऑफ वल्र्ड रिकार्ड में दर्ज करवाया जाएगा। इसीदिन गीता की भावना पर एक सांस्कृतिक संध्या के आयोजन के अलावा राज्यस्तरीय गीता श्लोकोच्चारण प्रतियोगिता भी आयोजित की जाएगी। मुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि श्रीमद्भगवत गीता के 700 श्लोकों में से 574 श्लोक भगवान श्री कृष्ण के मुखारविंद से निकले थे, इसलिए देशभर के 574 जिलों में से एक-एक युवा का श्लोक के प्रतिनिधि के रूप में चयन किया गया है। ये युवा अपने-अपने जिले से कुरुक्षेत्र तक की यात्रा में संस्कृत, हिन्दी, अंग्रेजी एवं अपने प्रांतीय भाषा में अपने पारम्परिक परिधान पर लिखे श्लोक को प्रचारित करेंगे। ये युवा 6 दिसम्बर को कुरुक्षेत्र पहुंचेगे। भारत के विभिन्न जिलों से आए 574 प्रतिभागियों द्वारा राष्टï्रपति का स्वागत किया जाएगा। ये 574 प्रतिभागी अपने-अपने जिले की मिट्टïी लेकर आएंगे जिससे श्री कृष्ण की प्रतिमा बनाई जाएगी जो राष्टï्र की एकता एवं अखण्डता का प्रतीक होगी। ये प्रतिभागी कुरुक्षेत्र के ब्रह्मïसरोवर पर भव्य आरती भी करेंगे। शाम को भारत के प्रसिद्घ कलाकारों के नाटकीय प्रदर्शन दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध करेंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि महोत्सव के दौरान अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर के वक्ता भी अपना-अपना संदेश देंगें। इन वक्ताओं में अमेरिका के डा. डेविड फ्राले, स्टीफन नाप, डा. गुरूमूर्थि कालयानाराम, डा. रजनी गोयल, वियतनाम से डा. सू को थाओ ताम, कनाडा के टोंरटों से श्रीमती ऊषा रानी आयागारी और कनयाटा विश्वविद्यालय, नायरोबी, केन्या से प्रो. एम.के. जैन शामिल हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि यह भव्य उत्सव भगवद् गीता की जयन्ती का प्रतीक होगा तथा इसका आयोजन उस पवित्र भूमि पर किया जा रहा है, जहां भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने मोहग्रस्त अर्जुन को गीता का दिव्य संदेश दिया था। यह दिव्य संदेश मार्गशीर्ष मास की शुक्ल एकादशी को दिया गया था। भारत में यह पर्व मोक्ष एकादशी के रूप में भी मनाया जाता है और इस वर्ष मोक्ष एकादशी 10 दिसम्बर को पड़ती है। अंतरराष्टï्रीय गीता महोत्सव दिव्य श्रीमद्भगवद् गीता, जो समय गुजरने के साथ अपनी मूर्त एवं अमूर्त विरासत से अमर हो गई है, को एक श्रद्घांजलि है। हरियाणा के स्वर्ण जयन्ती वर्ष में जिला स्तर एवं खंड स्तर पर गीता जयन्ती 3 से 5 दिसम्बर तक मनाई जा रही है। इसके लिए हर जिले को 10 लाख रुपये तथा हर खंड को 50,000 रुपये दिए गए है। इस भव्य आयोजन का मुख्य आकर्षण गीता पर एक अंतरराष्टï्रीय संगोष्ठïी होगी, जिसमें भारत एवं विदेशों से संत, मुनि, विद्वान, कलाकार, शिल्पकार तथा अन्य लोग भाग लेंगे।
मुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि इसी दिन राष्टï्रपति कृष्णा सर्किट का शिलान्यास करेंगे। इसके अतिरिक्त, जिला कुरुक्षेत्र के शहरी एवं ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों को खुले में शौच मुक्त घोषित किया जाएगा और 10 दिसम्बर को गीता महोत्सव के दिन सायं 6 से 6.15 बजे तक ब्रह्मïसरोवर के तट पर वैश्विक गीता गान का कार्यक्रम होगा और इसके उपरांत जानी मानी अभिनेत्री हेमा मालिनी द्रोपदी नृत्य नाटिका प्रस्तुत करेंगी। इसके अतिरिक्त, अनेक सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम भी आयोजित किए जाएंगे जिनमें नृत्य मंडलियों के प्रदर्शन, विभिन्न कला शो तथा संगीत संध्याएं शामिल हैं। उत्सव के दौरान कुरुक्षेत्र के पवित्र ब्रह्मïसरोवर के तट पर भव्य शिल्प मेले तथा सारस मेले का आयोजन भी किया जाएगा।
उन्होंने बताया कि उत्सव के दौरान गीता की पवित्र भूमि का माहौल रंगारंग एवं सौंदर्य की दृष्टिï से आकर्षक और साथ ही बौद्घिक रूप से उद्वेलित करने वाला होगा। पवित्र सरोवरों में से एक ब्रह्मïसरोवर उत्सव के आर्कषण का केन्द्र होगा। सभी की नजरें पुरूषोत्तमपुरा बाग नामक इसके द्वीप पर विख्यात भारतीय शास्त्रीय कलाकारों, गायकों एवं नृतकों के साथ-साथ क्षेत्रीय लोक कलाकारों के सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों पर टिकी होंगी। यह कार्यक्रम देशभर के शिल्पकारों को अपना कौशल प्रदर्शित करने के लिए एक मंच पर एकत्रित होने का अवसर भी प्रदान करेगा। इसके अलावा, यह लोगों को भारतीय कला एवं शिल्प को व्यापक रूप से देखने का अवसर भी प्रदान करेगा। उत्सव के दौरान गीता पर प्रवचन एवं संगोष्ठïी भी आयोजित की जाएंगी। बच्चों को भी गीता और भारतीय संस्कृति से संबंधित विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेने का अवसर मिलेगा।
मुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि गीता जयन्ती की प्रासंगिकता लोगों में नैतिक एवं सांस्कृतिक पुनरुत्थान लाना है। यह आज और भी प्रासंगिक हो गई है, क्योंकि हम चुनौतीपूर्ण जीवन जी रहे हैं। सच्चाई के मार्ग पर चलने वाले लोगों के लिए भगवद्गीता का आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान निरन्तर प्रकाशमान है। सदियों से विश्वभर से लाखों लोगों, विशेषकर हिन्दुओं ने आध्यात्मिक गुरुओं की शरण ली है और उन्हें भगवान के मधुर वचन सुनने से तृप्ति मिली है। हाल ही में, इस काव्य ने दुनियाभर से विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक पृष्ठïभूमि वाले लोगों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित किया है और यदि किसी को गीता को एक विशिष्टï पहचान देनी हो तो वह सार्वभौमिकता की होगी। इसका संदेश उस समय को जीवंत करता है जिस समय यह संवाद हुआ। इसका आह्वïान दो मुख्य नायकों, जो इतिहास की इस अवधि में एक विशिष्टï धार्मिक एवं सांस्कृतिक पृष्ठïभूमि से संबंधित हैं, से बहुत परे है। यह भी कहा जाता है कि इस की रचना उस समय हुई जब कई धार्मिक धाराएं एक-दूसरे से प्रतिस्पर्धा कर रही थीं और इनमें ज्ञान या त्याग के मार्ग को महत्ता दी गई जबकि भक्ति जैसे अन्य मार्ग गौण हो गए।
उन्होंने बताया कि इस दिव्य संदेश पर प्रकाश डालने के दृष्टिïगत आरंभ में धार्मिक संगठनों और कुरुक्षेत्र विकास बोर्ड द्वारा केवल धार्मिक एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम ही आयोजित किए जाते थे लेकिन बाद में इस उत्सव में सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक व शैक्षणिक कार्यक्रमों के शामिल होने के साथ इसका विस्तार हुआ। इस अवसर पर सामाजिक संगठन रक्तदान शिविर, डेंटलकेयर तथा नेत्र शिविर आदि आयोजित करते हैं। धार्मिक समितियां अनाथ बच्चों को गोद लेने के लिए परोपकारी लोगों को जुटाने की जिम्मेदारी लेती हैं। उत्सव के दौरान जयराम आश्रम में आयोजित एक सादे समारोह में विवाह योग्य गरीब युवक-युवतियों का विवाह करवाया जाता है। उत्सव का समापन एक भव्य शोभा यात्रा या भगवान श्री कृष्ण एवं महाभारत का चित्रण करने वाली रंगीन झांकियों के साथ होता है।
इस उत्सव का आयोजन वर्ष 1989 से कुरुक्षेत्र विकास बोर्ड द्वारा उत्तर क्षेत्र सांस्कृतिक केन्द्र, हरियाणा पर्यटन तथा लोक सम्पर्क, सांस्कृतिक मामले विभाग, कुरुक्षेत्र और कुरुक्षेत्र शहर के धार्मिक एवं स्वैच्छिक संगठनों की सक्रिय भागीदारी के साथ बड़े जोश एवं हर्षोल्लास के साथ किया जा रहा है। उत्सव के दौरान कुरुक्षेत्र आने वाले पर्यटकों एवं तीर्थयात्रियों को इस ऐतिहासिक भूमि की अद्भुत विरासत को देखने का मौका मिलता है जो इस देश के गौरवशाली अतीत को दर्शाती है।
सच्चाई के अवतार के रूप में भगवान श्री कृष्ण को उस समाज में सद्भावना एवं संतुलन साधना था, जहां रूढि़वाद और कलह ने आध्यात्मिक वास्तविकता को ढक लिया था। सच्चाई एक है लेकिन यह अपने आप को अनेक रूपों में प्रकट करती है और गीता इस एकात्मक दृष्टिïकोण का सूत्रपात है। इस काव्य की जड़े वेदों और उपनिषद परम्पराओं से गहराई से जुड़ी हुई हैं और जब तक इस तथ्य को पूर्ण रूप से नहीं समझा जाता तब तक कर्म के सार्वभौमिक स्वरूप की सही रूप से सराहना नहीं की जा सकती। यह एकता का एक शानदार संदेश है, जहां विरोधाभासी वचन भी स्वाभाविक रूप से मेल-मिलाप करते प्रतीक होते हैं।
वर्ष 2002 में भारत सरकार के पर्यटन एवं संस्कृति मंत्रालय ने सभी सातों क्षेत्रीय सांस्कृतिक केन्द्रों के सहयोग से गीता जयन्ती समारोह का भव्य आयोजन किया। भगवद् गीता और महाभारत को भारतीय लोक साहित्य एवं सांस्कृतिक कला के आलोक में प्रस्तुत करने के मद्देनजर देश भर में विभिन्न लोक एवं सांस्कृतिक कला रूपों में प्रचलित महाभारत को प्रस्तुत करने के लिए विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए। इसके अलावा, संस्कृति एवं पर्यटन विभागों ने कुरुक्षेत्र विकास बोर्ड के सहयोग से कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए एवं उनमें भागीदारी की।
वर्ष 2015 में गीता जयन्ती उत्सव का आयोजन दोबारा राष्टï्रीय स्तर पर किया गया जिसका शुभारंभ 1100 स्कूली छात्रों द्वारा सम्पूर्ण भगवद्गीता के पाठ के साथ हुआ। लगभग 11,000 विद्यार्थियों ने गीता जयन्ती के दिन ब्रह्मïसरोवर पर अष्टïादश श्लोकी गीता का पाठ किया। इस अवसर पर कुरुक्षेत्र विश्वविद्यालय में गीता विषय पर एक राष्टï्रीय स्तर की संगोष्ठïी का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें भारत के विभिन्न हिस्सों से विद्वानों ने भाग लिया। उत्सव के दौरान पहली बार गीता पर ऑनलाइन प्रश्नोत्तरी कार्यक्रम शुरू किया गया। समापन दिवस पर ‘गीता ऑन दी व्हील्स’ की सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुति ने दर्शकों का दिल जीत लिया।
कुरुक्षेत्र विश्व प्रसिद्घ महाभारत की रणभूमि के रूप में प्रसिद्घ है, जहां अच्छाई और बुराई के प्रतीक दो बिल्कुल विपरीत एवं विरोधाभासी बलों के बीच युद्घ लड़ा गया। आखिरकार कुरुक्षेत्र की पवित्र धरा पर इस युद्घ में धर्मपरायण ताकतें विजयी हुई और बुराई का नाश हुआ। धर्म युद्घ की पृष्ठïभूमि के बीच दिव्य गीत भगवद्गीता का जन्म हुआ जोकि अर्जुन की सांसारिक अज्ञानता को दूर करने के लिए भगवान श्री कृष्ण के मुखारविन्द से प्रवाहित हुआ, जिसने उन्हें ज्ञान, बुद्घि और प्रकाश की दुनियां में प्रवेश करने में सक्षम बनाया।
भौतिकवाद और अध्यात्मवाद की दो शक्तिशाली धाराओं को एक साथ लाते हुए दिव्य गीत भगवद्गीता में एक बीच का रास्ता है जो एक सुखी एवं समृद्घ दुनिया के लिए व्यक्तिगत एवं सामूहिक स्तर पर मानव ऊर्जा के विकास को सम्बोधित है।

नई दिल्ली, 26 नवंबर-हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल ने कहा कि प्रथम अंतर्राष्ट्रीय गीता महोत्सव के दौरान 97.35 करोड़ रुपए की राशि से तैयार होने वाले कृष्णा सर्किट का शिलान्यास राष्टï्रपति श्री प्रणब मुखर्जी करेंगे। इसके अतिरिक्त, जिला कुरुक्षेत्र के शहरी एवं ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों को खुले में शौच मुक्त घोषित किया जाएगा।
मुख्यमंत्री आज नई दिल्ली में राष्ट्रीय एवं अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मीडिया प्रतिनिधियों को प्रथम अंतर्राष्ट्रीय गीता महोत्सव के संबंध में जानकारी दे रहे थे।
उन्होंने बताया कि केन्द्र सरकार ने हरियाणा सरकार की कुरुक्षेत्र और महाभारत से जुड़े क्षेत्रों के व्यापक सौंदर्यकरण की महत्त्वाकांक्षी परियोजना स्वीकृत कर दी है और इस परियोजना की कुल लगभग 97.35 करोड़ रुपये की राशि में से 20 प्रतिशत राशि की पहली किस्त जारी कर दी है। इस परियोजना के तहत कार्य पहले ही शुरू हो चुका है और यह कुरुक्षेत्र की पावन धरा को अंतरराष्टï्रीय पर्यटक मानचित्र पर स्थापित करने की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम होगा।
स्वदेश दर्शन योजना के तहत चिह्निïत कृष्णा सर्किट के अंतर्गत कुरुक्षेत्र का विकास अनुमोदित किया गया है। कुरुक्षेत्र भूभाग में महाभारत सहित भगवान श्री कृष्ण के जीवन की घटनाओं से जुड़े स्थलों एवं विषय के साथ एक टूरिस्ट सर्किट की पहचान की गई है। राज्य पर्यटन नोडल एजेंसियों और क्षेत्रीय सक्षम एजेंसियों के साथ गहन अनुसंधान एवं विचार-विर्मश करने के उपरांत विकसित किए जाने वाले स्थलों की पहचान एवं छंटनी की गई है। कृष्णा सर्किट के तहत निम्र स्थलों का चयन किया गया है :
ज्योतिसर
महाभारत युद्घ पर आधारित एक थीम पार्क परिसर स्थापित करने की योजना है। यह महाभारत युद्घ के मूल 48 कोस क्षेत्र, जैसा कि वेदों में उल्लेख है, की प्रतिकृति होगा। महाभारत थीम पार्क भवन परिसर के भीतर आधुनिक प्रौद्योगिकियों का प्रयोग करके मुख्य घटना-स्थलों पर प्रकाश डाला जाएगा। चूंकि केन्द्रीय पर्यटन मंत्रालय थीम पार्क परिसर में केवल सिविल कार्यों के लिए ही वित्त उपलब्ध करवा रहा है, इसलिए राज्य पर्यटन विभाग ने विराट स्वरूप के लिए आबंटित राशि के अतिरिक्त राज्य योजनागत बजट में 25 से 30 करोड़ रुपये के आबंटन की मांग की है। थीम पार्क प्रस्ताव में सरस्वती नदी तत्व को भी लघु रूप में शामिल किया गया है जो महाभारत युद्घ के दौरान सरस्वती नदी के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालता है। कुल प्रस्तावित निवेश लगभग 33.85 करोड़ रुपये है।
ब्रह्मï सरोवर
ब्रह्मï सरोवर के सौंदर्य एवं कलात्मकता को बढ़ाने के लिए सरोवर के सभी खुले स्थलों का सौंदर्यकरण किया जाएगा। अभिमन्यु घाट के निकट खुले स्थल पर महाभारत युद्घ की विभिन्न संरचनाओं पर प्रकाश डालने के लिए एक थीम पार्क का सृजन किया जाएगा। मेला मैदान के सौंदर्यकरण की भी योजना है। पार्किंग सुविधा, झील के आगे के हिस्से को विकसित करने तथा सरोवर पर प्रकाश व्यवस्था करने के साथ-साथ एक मल्टीमीडिया शो भी प्रस्तावित है। सरोवर के आकार को ध्यान में रखते हुए एक 50 मीटर ऊंचे मल्टीमीडिया शो की योजना बनाई गई है। यह अपनी तरह का पहला शो होगा। कुल प्रस्तावित निवेश लगभग 28.46 करोड़ रुपये है।
सन्निहित सरोवर
लोटस पोंड क्षेत्र को और अधिक आकर्षक बनाने तथा इस हिस्से में पर्यटक सुविधाएं विकसित करने के लिए इसे पुन: डिजाइन किया गया है। पर्यटक सुविधाएं बढ़ाने के लिए लोटस पोंड क्षेत्र में एक केफेटेरिया प्रस्तावित है। गंतव्य स्थलों की जानकारी देने और अति व्यस्त समय में दबाव को कम करने के लिए सुविधाएं बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से पर्यटक आगमन केन्द्र स्थापित किया जाएगा। सभी स्नानघाटों को सुधार कर वहां लॉकर सुविधा और वस्त्र बदलने के लिए कमरों की व्यवस्था की गई है। पर्यटकों की सुरक्षा एवं आराम के लिए पार्कों में बैठने के लिए बैंचों, पार्कों के सौंदर्यकरण तथा प्रकाश व्यवस्था जैसी सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करवाना प्रस्तावित है। कुल प्रस्तावित निवेश लगभग 8.08 करोड़ रुपये है।
अमीन कुंड
इस परियोजना में सडक़ कार्य, चारदीवारी को सुधारने एवं द्वार बनाने का कार्य शामिल है। स्नान घाटों पर स्वच्छता तथा पर्यटकों का एकांत सुनिश्चित करने के लिए चारदीवारी के पुनर्निर्माण एवं रि-डिजाइन की योजना है। इससे अमीन कुंड की सुरक्षा, सौंदर्य एवं आकर्षण भी बढ़ेगा। प्रवेश द्वारों को रि-डिजाइन किया जाएगा और बेहतर पहुंच, नियंत्रण एवं सुरक्षा के लिए एक वृहत् प्रवेश प्लाजा का निर्माण किया जाएगा। इस प्लाजा में टिकट काउंटर, पर्यटक सूचना केन्द्र, नियंत्रण कक्ष और सुरक्षा कक्ष होगा। अभिमन्यु की मृत्यु की घटना को दर्शाने के लिए वर्तमान सरोवर के साथ एक चक्रव्यूह के निर्माण की योजना है। इससे अमीन को एक मुख्य महाभारत पर्यटक गंतव्य स्थल के रूप में विकसित करने में मदद मिलेगी। कुल प्रस्तावित निवेश लगभग 7.38 करोड़ रुपये है।
भीष्म कुंड नरकातारी
परियोजना में सडक़ों, चारदीवारी और फ्लोरिंग को सुधारना और द्वारों का पुनर्निर्माण शामिल है। स्वच्छता तथा पर्यटकों का एकांत सुनिश्चित करने के लिए चारदीवारी के पुनर्निर्माण एवं रि-डिजाइन की योजना है। भीष्म पितामह की मृत्यु की घटना को जीवंत बनाने के लिए भीष्म कुंड के साथ भीष्म पितामह शय्या के सृजन की योजना है। भीष्म शय्या के सामने एक फव्वारे के निर्माण की भी योजना है। कुल प्रस्तावित निवेश लगभग 2.39 करोड़ रुपये है।

कार्यों के निरीक्षण के लिए दो कमेटियां अर्थात प्रबंध निदेशक, हरियाणा पर्यटन निगम की अध्यक्षता में राज्य स्तरीय कमेटी और उपायुक्त कुरुक्षेत्र की अध्यक्षता में जिला स्तरीय कमेटी गठित की गई हैं।
स्वर्ण जयंती गुरु दर्शन यात्रा योजना
स्वर्ण जयंती गुरु दर्शन यात्रा योजना और कैलाश मानसरोवर यात्रा योजना के तहत प्रत्येक योजना में हरियाणा के स्थायी निवासियों को अधिकतम 50 व्यक्तियों तक प्रति व्यक्ति 6,000 रुपये या वास्तविक खर्च के 50 प्रतिशत, जो भी कम हो, के बराबर वित्तीय सहायता उपलब्ध करवाने का निर्णय लिया गया है। श्रद्घालु को राज्य या केन्द्र सरकार या सोसायटी के माध्यम से यह यात्रा पूरी करनी होगी। इन दोनों योजनाओं के लिए वर्ष 2016-17 के दौरान क्रमश: 10 लाख रुपये और 15 लाख रुपये का बजट प्रावधान किया गया है।
स्वर्ण जयंती गुरु दर्शन यात्रा योजना के तहत श्री हजूर साहिब गुरुद्वारा (नंदेड़ साहिब), श्री ननकाना साहिब, श्री हेमकुंड साहिब और श्री पटना साहिब के दर्शन शामिल हैं।
कुरुक्षेत्र का अभूतपूर्व विकास
कुरुक्षेत्र के ऐतिहासिक, पौराणिक एवं आध्यात्मिक महत्त्व को देखते हुए कुरुक्षेत्र को महापर्यटक स्थल के रूप में विकसित किया जा रहा है।
केन्द्रीय पर्यटन मंत्रालय ने कुरुक्षेत्र में पर्यटन इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर को विश्व स्तरीय विकसित करने के लिए कृष्णा सर्किट के तहत लगभग 100 करोड़ रुपये के राज्य सरकार के प्रस्ताव को स्वीकृति प्रदान की है।
राज्य सरकार ने विकास के लिए कुरुक्षेत्र शहर सहित पांच महत्त्वपूर्ण स्थलों नामत: सन्निहित सरोवर, अमीन कु ण्ड, नरकातारी, ब्रह्मसरोवर एवं ज्योतिसर का चयन किया गया है।
ज्योतिसर परियोजना पर 33 करोड़ 85 लाख रुपये, ब्रह्मïसरोवर परियोजना पर 28 करोड़ 46 लाख रुपये, सन्निहित सरोवर परियोजना पर 8 करोड़ 8 लाख रुपये, अमीन कुण्ड परियोजना पर 7 करोड़ 38 लाख रुपये और भीष्मकुण्ड नरकातारी परियोजना पर 2 करोड़ 39 लाख रुपये खर्च होंगे।
इन अभिनव परियोजनाओं में श्रीमदभगवद् गीता और महाभारत के विभिन्न विषयों पर आधारित एक ‘थ्री-डी’ मल्टीमीडिया शो, भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के विराट स्वरूप की स्थापना और महाभारत युद्घ के 48 कोस के वास्तविक क्षेत्र को दर्शाने वाले थीम पार्क कॉम्पलैक्स को शािमल किया गया है।
राज्य सरकार कुरूक्षेत्र के तीर्थ स्थलों सहित प्रदेश की सभी सांस्कृतिक धरोहरों, सभी धर्मों के तीर्थ स्थलों और ऐतिहासिक स्थलों को पर्यटक स्थलों के रूप में विकसित करने पर बल दे रही है।

उन्होंने आज नई दिल्ली में पत्रकारों को संबोधित करते हुए यह जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कहा कि सतलुज-यमुना लिंक (एसवाईएल) नहर पर सर्वाेच्च न्यायालय द्वारा हरियाणा के हित में दिए गए निर्णय को क्रियान्वित करवाने के लिए राज्य सरकार ने राष्ट्रपति से समय मांगा था।
उन्होंने कहा कि हाल ही में चण्डीगढ में उनकी अगुवाई में आयोजित की गई सर्वदलीय बैठक में हरियाणा के हित में सर्वोच्च न्यायालय द्वारा दिए गए निर्णय को लागू करवाने के लिए सर्वसम्मति से यह निर्णय लिया गया था।

Mumbai, November 26, 2016: It all came together for Delhi’s Shamim Khan on the final day of the Rs. 1 crore CG Open 2016. He sank his longest putt of the week, a mammoth 35-footer for birdie on the final hole, for a flawless round of eight-under-62 that helped him wrest the title and the lead in the Rolex Ranking. Shamim’s 19-under-261 total was also the lowest four-round score in a professional event at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club (BPGC).
Bengaluru’s Khalin Joshi finished runner-up at 18-under-262 after a final round of 65 but also moved up to second place in the Rolex Ranking.
The 38-year-old Shamim Khan (67-66-66-62), lying overnight tied seventh and two off the lead, jumped into contention on Saturday with two early birdies on the second and third where he sank putts from 15 to 30 feet.
Khan, who won his last title in February 2015, then had a birdie blitz from the 10 to the 12th that took him into the joint lead at 16-under along with Khalin Joshi and Kapil Kumar. Shamim having regained his touch with the long range putts delivered another birdie from 15 feet to take the sole lead on the 15th even as his nearest competitor Khalin stumbled with a double-bogey on the 14th.
The pro from the Delhi Golf Club marched to his 12th title in grand style (10th on the PGTI) with two more birdies on the 16th and 18th. Khalin made a brave charge towards the end with two eagles on the 16th and 18th but just fell short of Shamim’s total.
An elated Shamim said, “It’s been an incredible week. I dropped just three bogeys in the whole tournament. I had lost my touch with the long range putts in the last few months but it came back at the CG Open. I made three 15-footers today and two putts from 30 to 35 feet. That made all the difference.
“I knew I was in the race once I made three consecutive birdies on the 10th, 11th and 12th. But I decided not to check the leaderboard till the 17th. That worked for me. Once I saw I was two ahead after the 17th, I went for the birdie on the 18th.
“It’s great to win after so long. I owe a lot to my caddie ‘Gullu’ for this win. He was a great support. My ball-striking was also terrific through the week. I’m now looking to win my second Rolex Player of the Year title after 2012.”
Shamim’s 19-under-261 total eclipsed the previous lowest four-round score at the BPGC which was achieved by Jyoti Randhawa at the CG Open 2011 when he shot an 18-under-262.
Shamim who took home the winner’s cheque worth Rs. 15,00,000, has now skyrocketed from 12th position to number one in the Rolex Ranking with season’s earnings of Rs. 29,84,108.
Khalin Joshi’s (67-67-63-65) runner-up finish and prize purse of Rs. 10,00,000 helped him move up from fifth place to second position in the money list with season’s earnings of Rs. 29,11,490.
Delhi’s Kapil Kumar, the runner-up in Digboi last week, fired a third straight 67 to finish third at 15-under-265.
Former champion Harendra Gupta (67) of Chandigarh and Delhi’s Rashid Khan (68) were a further shot back in tied fourth.
Shubhankar Sharma (70) of Panchkula, the joint overnight leader slipped to sixth on the final day with a 13-under-267 total.
Chadigarh’s Sujjan Singh made a hole-in-one on the 10th during his fourth round of 67. He ended the week in tied 12th at nine-under-271.
Fifteen-year-old junior amateur Aadil Bedi of Chandigarh, the youngest player in the field, claimed tied 16th place at seven-under-273 after a final round of 69. Local professional Anil Bajrang Mane also shot a last round of 69 to take a share of 16thplace along with Bedi.
Last year’s champion Ashok Kumar (71) of Delhi finished tied 24th at three-under-277.
Mumbai-based amateur Akash Modi (83) closed the week in 56th place at 15-over-295.

People of Delhi will not tolerate corrupt and inefficient MCDs & incompetent DDA any longer
People of Delhi will no longer tolerate the inefficiency and incompetence of BJP ruled MCDs and central government controlled DDA for their monumental failure in keeping Delhi clean and pollution free.
It is a matter of grave concern that these civic bodies are not ready to mend their ways and are playing with the lives of residents of Delhi despite having been pulled up on countless times by the hon’ble Delhi High Court.
Aam Aadmi Party Delhi convenor, Dilip Pandey on Saturday said the three MCDs and the DDA do not even take the High Court seriously and the court was absolutely correct on Friday in censuring them by stating that if they cannot manage the garbage landfill sites of Delhi then what is the use of having MCDs and DDA at all ?
Dilip Pandey stated that this is not for the first time that the High Court has slammed the MCDs, and recently on 16th November the court had warned the MCDs about their failure in performing their basic duties.
“The Delhi High Court had stated if a revolution or anarchy was to break out, officials of MCDs would be beaten up by the public. The court had also wondered if it should direct Delhiites to throw garbage into offices of the municipal corporations and the houses of its officials,” Pandey said.
The court also stated “Should we put the fear of death in you? Garbage is lying along roads, construction sites, markets and nothing is being done as the agencies are not scared of even the high court”, Pandey said.
The High court stated :“We will direct the public to throw garbage in MCD offices and the houses of all MCD officials. This will happen if there is anarchy. That time will also come. If there is a revolution, anarchy, all of you and us will be beaten up by the public”, the AAP leader said.
In October, the High Court had asked various agencies, including the Delhi Police, to treat the act of littering as a “public nuisance” under Section 268 of the IPC.
It is now clear that the MCDs, which have already earned the names like Malaria Chikungunya Dengue and Most Corrupt Departments represent the BJP model of governance in the national capital.
The Aam Aadmi Party has following questions for the BJP ruled MCDs :
· Why do the MCDs want to keep Delhi dirty and polluted ? Is it their basic governance model ?
· Are the MCDs not ashamed of already being known as the Most Corrupt Departments in the world ?
· What is the BJP roadmap for improving the performance of MCDs in their basic and compulsory duties ?
· Why should Delhi get a bad name due to corrupt and inefficient MCDs, which are in a state of financial and functional collapse ?

Agriculture Minister launches coffee table book on “Agri-Mechanization for Make in India”
Says all-out efforts are being made to boost farm out-put & rural incomes, and achieve the targeted 4% annual growth rate
New Delhi, November 25:
The ambitious ‘Make in India’ scheme of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, got a leg-up in the agriculture sector with the launch of a coffee table book titled, “Agri-Mechanization for Make in India.”
The book chronicles India’s progress in mechanization of the country’s agriculture sector, development of farm technology and vast potential for further investment in this sector.
Releasing the coffee table book here today at FICCI Federation House, Mr Radha Mohan Singh, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, highlighted the efforts being made my his ministry to boost agriculture output and contribute to rising rural incomes.
The book has been produced by the Social Responsibility Council (SRC) in coordination with The Department of Agricultural & Co-operation, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India.
Explaining the purpose behind launching of the book, the SRC Founder, Director, Mr Arun Khurana, said, “India is mainly an agriculture country and farm sector can play a significant role in making the Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India’ initiative a major success.”
SRC is a Delhi-based non-profit organization established to create awareness about social responsibility, and contribute in the country’s progress. The Council also runs certificate and diploma courses in various disciplines, including professional agriculture management.
Several senior policy makers and major players in the farm machinery industry attended the function.
Pointing out that “agriculture and its allied sectors are unquestionably the largest livelihood providers in India,” the minister said, “Our population is expected to be 1.4 billion by 2020. The increasing population, coupled with growing income will generate increased demand for food grains and non-food grain crops. Therefore, Indian agriculture has to achieve a higher growth rate targeted at 4% per annum on a regular basis.
Mr Singh said “In recent years much emphasis has been given by my Ministry on commercializing Indian agriculture and it is working on strategies to achieve the aforesaid 4% annual growth rate. These include focus on potential areas, regionally-differentiated strategies, crop diversification and the scientific management of natural resources.”
Experiences from other developing countries have shown that investment in agricultural mechanization enables farmers to intensify production and improve their quality of life as well as contributing to national and local prosperity.
“The new initiatives taken by the Ministry under the guidance of our Hon’ble PM Modi Ji in the form of National Food Security Mission and Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana of Agriculture will rejuvenate this sector,” the Cabinet Minister stressed.

The appeal sought to point out that augmenting Calicut’s international connectivity is critical for promoting exports and tourism in the region. Currently wide-bodied jets are not allowed to land in the airport hindering international connectivity, especially with Gulf countries. Final work on the runway is expected to be completed by March next year.
Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman of GMI said, ‘’Calicut’s economic development hinges on international connectivity. The withdrawal of wide-bodied aircraft services has caused considerable hardship to travellers from Kozhikode, Malappuram and Wayanad districts. Insufficient cargo movement hasalso hit farmers and exporters who send perishable goods to the Gulf countries.We have requested Hon’ble Civil Aviation Minister for his support to ensure that the necessary DGCA approval is accelerated as soon as the final re-carpeting work is completed in March next year. We are hopeful of a speedy clearance.’’
Calicut Airport commenced operations in 1988 with a short 6,000 feet runway. After 4 years, the runway length was extended to 9380 feet to enable bigger aircrafts to operate to Calicut connecting with Gulf countries through erstwhile Indian Airlines. In 2006, more international flights including Hajj flights were being operated using wide-bodied aircrafts. The airport was partially closed for re-carpeting and pavement strengthening since May 2015.

About the Group
Guwahati Sishu Natya Vidyalaya was established in 1998. Since its inception it has worked continuously for the development of a theatre which is by the children and for the children, and has been encouraged by a tremendous response. At Guwahati Sishu Natya Vidyalaya we conduct classroom training for acting, creative writing, storytelling, and summer & winter workshops. The school participates in various children’s festivals of national level, organizes National Children Theatre Festival every year, carries out classroom theatre in schools, and produces participatory theatre to be performed in schools.
About the Play
Jhunjhun, who is 11 years old, lives in Guwahati. She goes to school, does her homework and everything else that children do. Her parents are both engaged in their respective jobs and remain busy all around the year. July is a month enjoyed by all the kids – Picnics, vacations, hill stations, beaches, native villages and what not. But it’s not the same for Jhunjhun. She hates July. For her it’s a month of boredom. Today is the 31st of July and Jhunjhun wants to do something new. She gives colour to her beautiful imagination on a white sheet of paper. To her surprise her drawing and everything in it comes alive! The day is about to end when all of a sudden ‘July’ appears in front of Jhunjhun and says that he wants to be her friend. He has always wished to play and sing with Jhunjhun but she never gave him a chance.
What will Jhunjhun do now? Will she accept July as her friend? Will she enjoy the month July like all other kids do? Let’s find this out.
Director
Manik Roy started his theatre career as an actor at the age of 9. He established Guwahati Sishu Natya Vidyalaya in 1998, with a view to develop children’s theatre in Assam.
Manik Roy has so far written, directed and produced more than 26 children’s plays. Some of his popular plays are Dhunumoina, In the Classroom, Tejimola Aru Ankita, Sukula Ghora and Khel-Na. His children troupe has participated in various National Festivals in New Delhi, Kerala, Bihar, Odisha, Meghalaya etc. He has trained more than 500 young children in Guwahati Sishu Natya Vidyalaya.
Manik Roy got associated with TIE Company of National School of Drama, New Delhi in 2007. The first summer workshop of TIE (Theatre-in-Education) in Guwahati was conducted in 2007 in association with Guwahati Sishu Natya Vidyalaya.
Manik Roy strongly believes that theatre is a very strong medium of communication which can change the outlook of the new generation.
Director’s Note
July is the month of vacation for the children living in Assam. Guwahati Sishu Natya Vidyalaya organises children theatre workshops in this month. In 2001, two days before the culmination of the workshop, a girl named Jhunjhun came to me. She thanked me and said, “I never imagined that July can be so much fun.” She said that her parents were too busy to spend time with her or take her out during the summer vacation, and she always stays all alone locked in a room.” After listening to her, I had tears in my eyes.
‘JULY’ speaks about the life of Jhunjhun, a girl who has been brought up in today’s modern materialistic society. The parents are busy making money for her future, and are not concerned about her present. I want to deliver this message to these parents that instead of running after money, they should try to spend enough time with their child and help in moulding a sound personality.

About the Play
We all wear colours of different shades, both figuratively and literally. The chameleon on the other hand, has no colour. It is what its background dictates. If a chameleon’s colour had a personality, it’d be the wall-flower; quiet in a room full of people and yet observing.
Nature has given a wonderful tool to the chameleon. Blend in, and survive. But what happens when nature itself starts to run out of colour. That is the question we raise in Rang Rangila Gittu Girgit. Trees run short of green, the sky has no more blue left and the sun is running out of red. In short, nature is losing the war… a war that was started by humans against no one in particular… a phenomenon that we call global warming.
Rang Rangila Gittu Girgit isn’t a sermon on how to help save the planet. It is the story of a simple chameleon with just one aim – to bring back colour into his life. A mission that will expose him to the various perils mankind has brought upon himself. When the result is achieved in the end, we’re left with the question – what is it that we need to do to change how things are today.
Director
Dhanendra Kawade has been a part of the theatre industry for the last 24 years with his roots in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh. His initial training under Dada Bangeshwar Mullick and then his work with Rangshri Little Ballet Troupe, Bhopal, made him skilled in designing, lighting, sound techniques and acting. He formed his own theatre company called 3rd Bell Productions in 2005, now called Swangvale. So far Swangwale has successfully staged 6 plays – Kahani Le Lo, Kai re…Gotya, K.T.Anna Jio to aise, Manaskhor , Baramasi , Rang Rangila Gittu Girgit.
He has acted in more than 60 plays along with production designing and light designing for several plays. He is a trained Chou dancer and also conducts workshops on acting and designing.
Director’s Note
The group found the concept of colour-changing of a chameleon interesting. On the basis of this idea we started developing stories through improvisation. We read about the chameleon, its food chain, character, colour concept and other interesting facts. But the challenge to represent a chameleon on stage was difficult. To make it interesting we went through rigorous exercises and improvised body movements. During the process we realised that the chameleon and the human have similar qualities of adapting to its surroundings. There is a famous proverb “girgit ki tarah rang badlana”. So we incorporated human problems in this story like global warming, migration, mechanical routine life, education system for children etc. in the context of a chameleon. All the songs and music have been created by the actors. Now we Swangvale are very enthusiastic to showcase the story Ran -2 Gi -2 (Rang Rangila Gittu Girgit).
